We have all admired the amazingly fit body of Chris Hemsworth ever since he graced the big screen in and as Thor. There are only a few Hollywood actors who are as aesthetically well-built as Hemsworth, and the Australian is also well aware of that fact.
There is no doubt he works hard on building himself up, and frequently the internet has been abuzz with his workout videos. But now, all of his workout secrets are out, and if you have been dreaming of having a body like Chris Hemsworth, there is good news for you.
The Australian actor has finally launched his own fitness app by the name of Centr on 11th February, revealing the diverse mix of exercises he undertakes to remain fit and healthy. Subscribers of the app would have access to exercises as well as many meal plans which would be customized to their specific needs.
Unlike many other apps, Centr would also allow users a variety of options when it comes to the kinds of exercises they do or the meals they intake, much in line with the way Hemsworth himself has varied his fitness regimen throughout his life.
But the best feature perhaps is the fact that we now have all this information in the palm of our hands, readily available whenever we need it.
A Home Trainer
If you are like most people, then, going to the gym, although must sound great but actually pushing yourself to go there on a consistent basis, must be very difficult. However, now you don’t really need to hit the gym.
This app promises to offer long workouts of 20 to 40 minutes of length for a variety of HIIT, yoga, MMA, and boxing exercises. But since the app is quite new, the effectiveness of the workouts on users is yet to be seen and only time will tell if it lives up to all that it has promised to deliver.
The app does not have workouts exclusively by Hemsworth, but instead by trainers from around the world such as Luke Zocchi, who is also Hemsworth’s personal trainer.
Most workouts don’t really require any special equipment to perform, which is again very aligned with the kind of workouts Hemsworth reportedly prefers (he prefers outdoorsy activities like surfing and meditative ones like yoga).
To keep things fresh for subscribers, the app has also promised to release newer workouts on a weekly basis. However, whether these workouts would be limited to a single category or appear for all categories is yet to be seen.
A Family Venture
Hemsworth is not the only one who is involved with the strategizing of the app’s content. His wife, Elsa Pataky, has played a key role in the development of the app especially in areas where Hemsworth could possibly not provide as good of an input; she brought the woman and mother perspective to the app, and through her insight made sure that the app’s content fit the needs of females and moms around the world.
A Diet Plan As Well
The meal plans on the app would be approved by dieticians, so you can be sure to follow them without any harm to your health. Some of the recipes have been provided by chefs who are famous around the world and include recipes which cater to all kinds of consumers including many gluten-free, vegan, pescetarian, and vegetarian choices.
Apart from providing guidance on the most optimal food for the mind, Centr will also reportedly focus on providing guidance on maintaining optimal mental health. This includes guides on meditation techniques and also exercises for visualizations.
Hemsworth’s vision with the app is simple: to allow people around the world to have access to the best fitness knowledge from world-class experts in the field in order to explore their full potential and consequently live a happier life.
The main focus on both the physical and the mental aspects of the human body allows for a more holistic approach to fitness, and Hemsworth hopes to promote the same with Centr.
