We have been impressed by the amazing performances delivered by all the actors who have appeared in the leading roles on the hit TV show Game of Thrones, but perhaps some have impressed us more than others.
Kit Harington, who plays the character of Jon Snow on the show, is one of those few who has surpassed all expectations to become a fan favorite among the millions around the world who are following the show for the past many years.
This is why the world is interested in knowing the actors for more than their on-screen personas, and hence whatever they say makes the news very easily.
For example, recently Harington was asked to describe the impression that he had taken when he first met his now-on-screen love interest, actress Emilia Clarke, who plays the character of Daenerys Targaryen, and his response has moved global media to print it in their daily publications.
According to him, Clarke almost left him breathless with her stunning beauty when the two met for the first time, and although they started filming together on the show pretty late into its progression, Harington believes that the two still pretty much understand the other as they have had similar experiences while filming their respective scenes, considering the important nature of their characters.
The Interview
For the May issue of the magazine, Esquire not only decided to put Harington on the cover but also print an interview with him that provides some very interesting insights into his feelings pertaining to many aspects of Game of Thrones.
When asked about the bond that he had developed with the rest of the cast on the show, Harington revealed that since he does not have any siblings that are younger than him, he always considered actors Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, and Isaac Hempstead Wright, to be just like his younger siblings, head-patting them as well as ruffling up their hair. Now, all three of them have grown up, especially Turner who is now even taller than him and hence ruffles up his hair.
A Prankster
You may not know this but Harington is an excellent prankster as well, at least considering the excellent joke he was able to pull with his co-star, John Bradley, who plays the character of Samwell Tarly on the show.
According to him, when Bradley was shifting to the Citadel on the show, Harington knew that a costume change was expected, and so he, along with co-star Hannah Murray, who is the actress behind the character of Gilly, decided to play a prank on him.
Apparently, they asked the designers to conjure up a very bizarre outfit for Bradley, expecting the latter to question it.
But when Bradley got the costume, he did not say a word as he believed that indeed that was supposed to be the costume he was expected to wear on the show, which is understandable considering the fact that the show is indeed full of surprises, both for the audiences as well as its makers.
