Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had moved to their official residence, the Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor Estate, a more private vicinity than the Kensington Palace, earlier this April, or just a few weeks before her delivery.
But still yet to be cozy in their newly renovated home, news about another possible move to not just a city but another continent, which will see the royal couple staying in the place for two to three years after the childbirth, have spread like wildfire.
Royal watchers are itching to get a first look on the newest addition to the family, but it seems that we, at least for the UK spectators, won’t be seeing much of the child in the flesh in the following years to come, a report stated.
Apparently, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex might be moving to Africa for a couple of years for an international role where they are expected to do charity work and to promote Britain.
According to Sunday Times, former British Ambassador to the United States Sir David Manning and Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II’s former secretary Lord Geidt was already working on the plans for the bespoke positions, although the royal couple’s residency for the duration of the work remains undecided till next year.
So while their possible transfer to another home may be far from materializing right now, Meghan and Prince Harry can very well spend all the time they can in their house at the Frogmore Cottage.
Details Still Undecided
Moving to another continent would mean huge expenses and the security needed should be properly planned, but as per the report, the Palace and the government have yet to talk about it.
But of course, all these remain speculations and needless to say, it is best that you take it with a grain of salt. However, what’s interesting is that the Buckingham Palace didn’t outright deny the rumor, but only explained that future plans are “speculative” and that no decisions have been reached about their possible future roles.
Meanwhile, if this is true, then it would not be a shocker for most fans of the 34-year-old. Prince Harry has been vocal when it comes to his love for the continent.
He brought Meghan in Botswana, where they spent time camping out under the stars, he revealed in their engagement video. Coincidentally, it was also where one of the diamonds from the former “Suits” actress’ engagement ring was sourced.
While Prince Harry’s fondness of the place was seen by some as the reason for the possible move, naysayers believe that the decision stems from the long-rumored rift between him and his sibling, Prince William, and their wives, Meghan, and Kate Middleton, respectively.
In fact, the gossip had been too much that the Kensington Palace had to intervene to make sure that engagement in social media would remain free from hatred. It had also cleared the air by putting the speculations to rest.
