Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Romance and Split
It was indeed more than just an on-screen chemistry became these two have fallen in love in real life that led to their happily ever after, well sort of. It was in 2006 when Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan met on the set of their film Step Up, wherein their characters are like star-crossed lovers with a rich girl and boy from the opposite side of the tracks and got together because of their love of dance.
Just three years before meeting this former power couple decided to tie the knot at a private wedding in Malibu in 2009. Channing even revealed how he actually had cruel intentions when he was trying to propose to her. The actor said that he made it seem like he really wasn’t interested in marrying her or wasn’t interested in the idea of marriage at all that then led to Jenna crying her heart out that made Channing feel bad, and so, in the end, he eventually popped the question. Jenna then gave birth to their first child in 2013 named Everly, and even they had been very private with their daughter and not really exposing her in the limelight they still share some of the cutest moments on their official social media accounts.
Almost everyone thinks that they are indeed the ideal little family and that everything seemed to be going right, turns out everything is not what it seems to be. The once was a power couple announced last month that they have decided to go on their separate ways. In a joint Instagram statement, Channing and Jenna said that they were indeed very much in love but their paths are simply taking them to different roads now. Sources said that the extremely busy schedule has driven these couple apart that they were no longer in the same place for that past year and had barely spent time with each other.
Moving On and Co-Parenting
The 37-year-old World of Dance host said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she is actually looking forward on her new life but not because she is no longer with Channing, Jenna said that she was actually a happy wife and her decisions now have got nothing to do with their separation. She is just enjoying the sense of freedom and excitement.
However, the most important part of this separation is not either of them, it is actually about their daughter Everly, who just turned 5-years-old this month. Jenna revealed that it is definitely not easy but they are simply trying to get the hang of things and that they are both positive people so they’re using it for their own benefit when it comes to co-parenting.
She admitted that they are trying their best to be the ideal parents that Everly deserves which is why they continue to support one another. Jenna also said that unlike other celebrity moms who felt anxious with motherhood since they need to balance their careers, she felt free and excited since she is now looking into making her self the best version she could be, she is trying to learn new things that would make her a better person, and its all not for herself, but for her daughter.
With lots of projects lined up, it could definitely be hard to balance it all out but she sees it as a motivation to work harder for her daughter and become a mom her daughter would be proud to have. Unlike Jenna, Channing hasn’t been very vocal about the split and is currently laying low from the public’s eyes.
